Ciaspolate - 100 hikes on snowshoes

The book is structured in three large parts: hikes in Lazio; hikes in Abruzzo; and the useful information for choosing the right gear and preparing your hikes.
The routes are grouped by mountain range, rather in the way that the well-known book “I 2000 dell'Appennino” by Osti Guerrazzi set the standard. Although in its layout the book has a certain something of déjà vu about it, what strikes you most is the variety of the routes on offer. There are many routes never seen in other guides, and plenty of proposals both demanding and for hikers taking their first steps. It is precisely to those approaching the mountain environment for the first time that this book is best suited. We would have liked to find a book of this kind ourselves when we started going to the mountains of our beautiful Apennines.

Each route proposed gives: maps, walking times, height gain, difficulty, how to reach the starting point, the route description and additional notes from the author.
The advice on choosing equipment is interesting and thorough, especially all the explanations about choosing boots and snowshoes.
