Cima di Passo Cattivo - Getting 2011 off on the wrong foot

To complete my tally of the summits of the Sibillini, all I was missing was Cima di Passo Cattivo (“Bad Pass” Peak), a little-known but thoroughly respectable summit, easy to reach on an obvious path and on a route I would be tempted to call a Sibillini classic. The path is the one that links the Frontignano ski area with the  smaller one of Monte Prata.

It's two months since I last went out; my last outing goes back to the end of October 2010.  November and December brought rain, colds and commitments of every kind. But what happens to someone like me, already extremely fickle by nature, when for such a long time he can't get out into the mountains?
What happens is that the mountains felt strangely foreign to me. As if being in that place made no difference at all. After a long abstinence I came back to the mountains on the wrong foot, with "Passo Cattivo".

For this reason it might be worth just looking at the photos... of a day which instead, perhaps... had everything it takes to be a great day.
