Women in the mountains and the euphoria of the peaks...

An exhilarating book for its pressing, rhythmic, almost dancing pace. A weave of emotions and reasoning far removed from cold, sterile theoretical speculation. This woman's pen, intense and gripping, explores the passion for the mountains with an immodest gaze. Justified or not, this dangerous infatuation with the mountains seems entirely “sensible” to some men.
It is rare to see women walking and climbing alongside men, rarer still to hear women talk about the mountains. How wonderful to see them write and share their gaze on this so complex inner world... that of mountaineers.
The book fully belongs to Ediciclo's marvellous publishing project which, without too many pretensions, in fewer than 100 pages manages to offer themes of real depth, tackled with a unique intensity.

Another short read, dense with thought, is Magnificat by Gianni Vattimo.
