Mountain and Hiking Handbook

The mountains of the Apennines are made for hiking. What is hiking? It is discovery, an alternative to plain tourism, it is sport. No sporting activity has ever had as many countless facets as hiking. Discovering these facets is already a journey in itself

This practical hiking handbook aims to gather the essential information you need to get ready to go into the wonderful mountains of the Apennines in complete safety. It was put together from the practical experience built up within the Gruppo Escursionistico Aria Sottile. The contents, taken from the website www.ariasottile.net, have been revised, expanded and improved. The reading and the common thread running through the topics have been improved. Tips have been added and the layout refined for quicker reading.
